NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub
A real ale Art Deco gem just 2 minutes away from the railway station and brewery tap for the adjacent Castle Rock Brewery. Thirteen handpumps serve a minimum of 7 of the Castle Rock range, with some guests and the recently-expanded range of ciders. The outside seating area features floral displays in summer. Hot food served all week. A tasting tray of 6 thirds of Castle Rock beers is available. Brewery tours (by advance booking) are operated Monday to Saturday and end in Golding's Room, which opened in 2011.
Historic Interest
An Art Deco pub built in 1937 as the Grove Tavern on the site of an earlier pub of the same name. This establishment has had a number of name changes from the Miami Bar to Ziggy's Bar (1988), the Grove Tavern (again), Tom Hoskin's (1992) before becoming the Vat and Fiddle. The current name a cheeky reference to the nearby offices of HM Revenue and Customs (Whitworth 2010). Formerly a Whitbread tied house. The Goldings Room is named after the late Spyke Golding, a popular Nottingham CAMRA activist who died in October 2010. [Nottingham City Council; Bridge Ward / Nottingham South Parliamentary Constituency]
