About the Pub
Opened June 2014 as a modern pub, selling up to six real ales, mostly national brands. The ground floor is divided into several booths, with sport on TV prominent. Toilets are upstairs, beyond which is a further seating area, which is only opened at busy times. Breakfast served until 12 noon. Can be very loud in evening.
Historic Interest
Built in 1928 as the Three Crowns on the site of an earlier pub of the same name, becoming the Tavern in the Town, then Edward's Bar in 1997 and then Flares (Whitworth 2010).
