About the Pub

*** Norwich & Norfolk Branch Pub of the Year 2013 ***

Down a long meandering track, the Locks fronts the River Waveney, with large gardens and overnight moorings. No stranger to the Good Beer Guide. Up to four interesting beers are served, including regulars from Grain Brewery. The small main bar has low ceiling beams and clay tile floor and is still lit by candlelight at night. While modern extensions allow the pub to maintain an active live music scene. With two beer festivals a year and the celebrated Friday curry night, this is a real community pub with something for everyone. The pub only opens in the evenings during winter weekdays. NOTE: use postcode NR34 0HS for SatNavs otherwise you'll end up on the wrong side of the river! And that would be sad.
