Originally a coach house (a small building for housing coaches, carriages and other vehicles) dating back to the 1700′s, it is one of the oldest remaining public houses in the borough of Hackney which was formerly in the county of Middlesex. Varied food offering, see their website for full details.
Historic Interest
Grade II listed:- Mid C19 3-storey, 3-window building. Stucco with incised lines. Pilasters, with wreaths in frieze, support cornice and parapet raised in centre. Sash windows with glazing bars in moulded architraves, with console bracketed cornices on 1st floor. Ground floor public house front altered, The building contains an older core.
