Hammerton Brewery

About the Pub

Good news with a BUT - a tweet from the brewery on 24/02/22 stated "cask is back" with their new release Best Bitter at 4% but, as a recent introduction, may not be available all of the time, later in the week and weekends being the best time to find it. The same applies for recently seen cask cider. However, on 16/09/22 we received the following report - "No cask ale (handpumps unused) "

TThere are around 20 keg beers from Hammerton. Payment by card only. Opened in July 2017 by Hammerton Brewery.

The bar walls are bare brick in the more recent style in places featuring memorabilia from an earlier incarnation of the Hammerton Brewery. The large windows at the front can be opened out in nice weather and two large upturned barrels have been converted to outside tables

There is also a take home can/bottle shop - large fridges display what's on offer. Peruvian inspired tapas is available - Wallpa Brasa - roti chicken, burgers, wings and such. See pub website for more detail.

Historic Interest

Locally listed as part of group 99-113. 1848 'Denmark Place'. Four storey symmetrical block. Ground floor shops. Central bay stock brick stucco architraves to windows. Third floor heavy cornice. Central window three light and arched.
