NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Under this stage of the roadmap in England pubs can only open outdoor areas and many will only be open for customers who have pre-booked. Alcohol can now also be sold for takeaway, as well as delivery

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

Sept 2020. Closed, heavy curtains drawn but door open. Bit of a building site with builders lamps on. Went past again and lots of drilling going on inside. As a consequence has reopened in April 2021with a new name - Engle Field - it's at the junction with this eponymous street.

The food serving hours are not shown on their website so the entry just copies what the hours were in the previous incarnation. Many of the other details are also a carry forward until a full surevy can be done.

After a brief redecoration this pub reverted to its original name. Original wood cladding inside remains (from original Charrington period) and division of the public bar and lounge still there, although this would originally have been part of the off licence corridor. Whole place cleaned up and furniture replaced, much more minimalist than before, with sofas, bar seating and dining tables. Quite foody, though not pushed heavily. There's an outside deck at the back which can be a sun trap. Monday pub quiz.
