About the Pub
Village free house on the River Taw and close to Umberleigh Railway Station which is ideal as a base for fishing, shooting, walking and cycling breaks. One and a half miles of fishing are owned by the pub, whilst the landlord also the gillie. The beers are constantly changing and usually from West Country breweries. The bar leads to an adjoining eating area and there is also a separate restaurant and accommodation of 9 rooms, 7 of which are doubles. . Outside an attractive patio area overlooks the river and the A377.
