About the Pub
A 17th century timber and thatch building believed to have been turned into a pub in the 18th century. If transported to a rural village and placed on its own tourists would coo and aaah at it however the 1970’s Boots next door fortunately detracts from the large sky sports banner draped across the front of the pub. The pubs internal partitions were unfortunately opened out a few years ago making it almost open plan but the wooden beams and stone flooring remain. Following a period of closure the current landlord has built up business again with pub sports teams and live bands to be found, the longer he has been in situ the better the beer quality has been. A narrow drinking area with tables and chairs can be found to the front, it catches the sun earlier in the day.
