NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

As of mid-2020, the premises appear derelict and are boarded up. Sold 15/3/17 at auction for non-pub use. Closed 11/11/15 allegedly under orders of the police. History: friendly welcoming two-room house which started offering cask real ale in late 2014 following many years of selling just keg beers. Uptake was been so successful, that a second beer was being considered. It was popular with local CAMRA members too, who enjoyed a 10% discount. Easily accessible using public transport via Gorton rail station (two mins walk) or bus 7 (or high-frequency 219 along Ashton Old Rd). The large beer garden included a covered smoking area. Well worth finding even though it was set in a somewhat isolated position. On a further historic note, it is alleged that Davy Jones of 60s band, the Monkees drank here before he found fame in the USA.
