About the Pub

Planning Application DC/078315 (12/10/2020) submitted for residential conversion of existing former Tea Room / Public House building to create 9 no. apartments (C3) with associated access, landscaping, boundary treatments and infrastructure. The Application can be found here -

History: closed 16/1/11 for conversion to 'The Ash Tea Rooms'. Was a very large, and well-appointed former Wilson's house, built turn of the 20th century. Several rooms (including a billiard room) radiated from the large bar. In 1949 it became a Wilsons Brewery house following merger with Walker & Homfray's Brewery, originally it was a Daniel Clifton & Co house.
