NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever as they recover following the pandemic.

COVID restrictions are no longer a legal requirement in pubs and clubs, but please be aware that many venues will choose to keep some measures in place for the safety of customers and staff.

Opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting updates on the pub.

About the Pub

Cask Ale was withdrawn after a trial period and the pub had bee closed for some time.

The pub needs to be resurveyed, the previous description is below.

The architecture of this building is unusual with the pub area separated from its accommodation block by a central archway leading into the car park at the rear, with the front entrance at street level but the rear of the bar a storey above the car park. A pleasant beer garden is situated next to the car park, from which the trains can be heard, but not seen, passing through the adjacent station. Inside, the bar serves four separate drinking rooms, one being a separate public bar, whilst two other partitioned areas provide snug drinking areas. The walls are liberally covered with old photographs and plates, many with a railway theme. Food is available at lunchtimes on Fridays to Sundays and early evenings on Tuesdays to Thursdays. The pub has well supported darts and dominoes teams.
