About the Pub

Single room bar adjacent to the University. Formerly known as Hearts of Oak, then the Variety it reopened on 8th September 2018 and has been re-named Vinyl Tap. There are six real ale pumps on the bar and vinyl themed events and a vinyl-style jukebox where people can pick and chose vinyl from an ever-growing collection or bring their own to be played while enjoying a drink and a bite to eat.

Fridays and Saturdays vary between live music artists and guest vinyl DJ slots with music spanning most genres.

Food is served throughout the day up to 10 pm with a range of Tip Top Tap Toasties. (* the pub still shows on Just Eat app but this is no longer operating) There is also a quiz every Wednesday and Open Mic on a Monday.

Awarded the Central Lancashire CAMRA Most Improved Pub of the Year 2019.
