NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Under this stage of the roadmap in England pubs can only open outdoor areas and many will only be open for customers who have pre-booked. Alcohol can now also be sold for takeaway, as well as delivery

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

Updates

Planning is underway for the pub to reopen on 12th April (or soon thereafter). Please bear in mind that bookings may be required due to limited seating outside so customers are best advised to check the website or social media pages before attending.

About the Pub

The long awaited Rivington Brewery Tap opened on 15th November 2019, housed in a converted stable block at the farm where the brewery is now situated. This is a welcome addition to the real ale scene around the Rivington area and the bar will showcase the brewery's extensive range of ales, with 2 on hand-pump and a further 14 keg taps – serving their own craft beers as well as cider and lager. It really is a beautiful setting and there are plans for outdoor seating which will have views across the reservoir towards Winter Hill.

The bar is lofty with bare stone walls and a large stone topped bar counter. All the pumps are on the back wall - there are no pump clips, and a beer menu is provided to list the changing array of beers, which in the main are over 5%.
