About the Pub

A dog obsessed 18th century country pub regularly in The Good Beer Guide. Cheerful staff serve a range of beers on eight handpumps with local ales showcased; Southport Golden Sands is always available and a variety of guest ales include Moorhouse's, Prospect and Wigan Brewhouse are available. There's always a real cider available.

This busy classic country pub has been Lancashire Dining Pub of the year previously and is noted for its food. The beer garden, with its wildlife area and great views, hosts a beer festival on the May bank holiday. Quiz night is every Monday..
