NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub
Delightfully unspoilt country local, close to Alum Bay and scenic National Trust downs. The name is taken from the pre-Victorian name for nearby Tennyson Down, renamed after Alfred Lord Tennyson, Queen Victoria's poet Laureate who lived at nearby Farringford House. This hospitable pub is an ideal base for walkers, strollers or cyclists alike. A wide range of local seasonal fresh food including game, fish and seafood is served in good sized portions and there is a children's menu. Bed and breakfast accommodation with 3 comfortable rooms, two of which are double en-suite and the third a twin with en-suit bath/ shower. A campsite is a few hundred yards away. The Breezer Bus from Yarmouth passes the door, April to October. It may close earlier in the winter.
