Notice: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Under level three of the roadmap in Scotland, pubs can open indoor areas for food and non-alcoholic drinks, while alcohol can only be served in outdoor areas. Many pubs will only be open for customers who have pre-booked.

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

The Chlachain (means stone house in Gaelic) Inn was built around 1900 and was extensively refurbished in 2004, and again in 2013. The single bar is open plan with different areas to satisfy all. Cosy chairs by the open fire, booth seating and tables and chairs - you can also sit at the bar, or prop it up! Currently Orkney / Atlas ales feature on the three hand pumps with the occasional showing from Isle of Skye and Hebridean. An excellent selection of freshly prepared food is available every day A sign shows "We welcome children, well behaved dogs, muddy boots and backpacks." There is plenty to do locally. Leave the car and take the steam train! Quiz night Thursday.

Many thanks to Stewart Pinching of CAMRA Swansea for the lead picture.
