Notice: Many venues are affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and need your support more than ever. Please be aware that restrictions apply in many areas so opening hours may be different to those displayed here, and some venues may be yet to re-open at all. Before visiting, we strongly advise you to call or check its website or social media to avoid disappointment.

Venues in Scotland are subject to special restrictions, which vary across the country. In the Central Belt (Including Arran and parts of the Southern Highlands) all pubs and most other licensed premises will be closed but may still be offering takeaway services. In other areas they can open but can only serve food and non-alcoholic drinks inside from 6.00am to 6.00pm. Alcoholic drinks can however be served in outside areas until 10.00pm. These restrictions will be in place until Monday 2 November.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

The Georgian listed building has been licensed since 1896 and is situated on the beautiful island of North Uist which forms a part of the Western Isles and faces out onto the Atlantic Ocean, next stop USA!

The cosy traditional pub has a loyal following of locals and visitors alike and has cocktail nights pub quizzes, pool nights, and "ladies" pool nights and regular traditional music nights. During the summer there was a very popular mini beer festival!

Popular with cyclists, walkers and shooting parties, this friendly pub has a traditional atmosphere. The peat-fuelled stove sends out warmth on cooler nights.

Ales are supplied from the Isle of Skye Brewery with Skye Red being available all year round with two others during the summer, and one in the winter offering alternative ales which are rotated.

A range of bottled beers and ciders are also stocked.

Great food, but if you want to eat, then very good idea to book to avoid disappointment at busy times when there can be as many as three sittings on one table!

Colin and Eilidh Murray took on The Westford Inn in 2015 and have made a great success of it. A well run pub catering for both locals and visitors.
