Historic pub adjacent to Beverley bus station. Known locally as 'Nellies' after a long standing former licensee.This Samuel Smith pub interior is something to be seen.Panelled corridors lit by traditional gas lamps leads to snug rooms.Wooden spit and sawdust flooring gives a feel you are back in the C18th.

Historic Interest

The pub,originally a coaching inn, pre-dates 1666 when it was detailed in local records,maintains most of its original features, including gas lights and chandeliers,small individual rooms,rickety stone and wooden floors and open fires.
