About the Pub

Microbar reopened 17th May 2021 as 3 Drinks Behind. Bought out by 4 locals with time on their hands during lockdown. Now run and managed by Matthew Warburton (previously of Uppermill Conservative Club) on their behalf. 4 cask ales, 1 from Beartown & 3 guests, typically from local breweries (updates available via facebook). At least one stout or porter always available. Still Cider from a box, typically from Lilley's. 20p per pint discount for CAMRA Members on real ale and still cider. Selection of draft German lagers, 2 craft keg beers, and a wide selection of gins, rums, malt whiskey's and wine. Good use is made of limited space via padded benches around the perimeter walls & dark wood tables & chairs, resulting in 30 being able to sit comfortably & a lay-out that inevitably encourages conversation. A huge mirror also creates a more spacious feel. Live music monthly. Children welcome until 7pm. Jam sessions every fortnight (Tuesday or Thursday). The bar faces one part of the cemetery of Hyde Chapel and is near to the junction with Joel Lane and the Grapes Hotel. Available to book for private functions (capacity 50). On 202 bus route.
