NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Under this stage of the roadmap in England pubs can only open outdoor areas and many will only be open for customers who have pre-booked. Alcohol can now also be sold for takeaway, as well as delivery

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

This pub is presumed closed until at least 17th May. Please let us know if this is not the case.

About the Pub

A very lucky village to have this pub! A 17th century coaching inn (grade II listed), free of tie with three beers and sometimes one cider on handpump. The skittle alley, hire-able as a function room, is a focus of activity. The freehold owners handed over the reigns to tenants in December 2015 and the high standards have been maintained. May open bank holiday lunchtimes - contact to check - otherwise closed Mondays. Southern Hampshire CAMRA Pub of the Year 2013. Just how a village pub should be.

Historic Interest

Of historic note is the fireplace. This was already 150 years old when it was acquired from the nearby Norman Court manor house and installed in 1830.
