About the Pub
The story begins in the 1860s. Johnny Londoner was the nickname of John Roberts, a man so outraged by the refusal of the White Hart's landlord to supply medicinal brandy that he opened a bar in his own house. It is a handsome building, brick-built and diamond patterned; its large bar with an open fireplace, and a separate dining room. Food, much of which is locally-sourced, is available all day. There are weekly music events and quiz nights, and the pub is close to Blashford Lakes nature reserve.
