About the Pub

Great Pub with decent real ale, two of of the four change regularly. Nice ciders available and an extensive array of spirits, especially gins. Nice home cooked food available lunch times and evenings. Good atmosphere with good conversation, no TV, no pub games, a warm welcome and good bar staff. Reachable by ferry from Southampton.

Historic Interest

Started life as a Baptist Chapel in 1845. 400 yards away is the world's oldest working Pier railway where Hythe Ferry travels to Southampton and back.
