NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub
Red-brick pub, built in the early 1800s and Grade II listed.
The pub offers the full range of the adjacent Flower Pots Brewery's beers on gravity behind the two bars - take-away sales are available. The public bar boasts a glass-covered well in the floor and large fireplace. The lounge bar is smaller and more cosy. Children are welcome in the bars until 6pm (if well-behaved and accompanied by an adult). The pub is dog-friendly.
Good home-cooked food is available daily except Mondays and Sunday evenings. Wednesday evening is Curry Night where authentic Punjabi cuisine is served, created by a visiting local Punjabi specialist.
The pub's garden has many benches that can be enjoyed in good weather.
There are many good walks nearby and the Watercress Line steam railway is three miles away.
The pub was transferred to new local owners on 6th December 2019 and now opens all day Friday to Sunday and bank holiday Mondays.
Historic Interest
Grade II listed. First publican was a gardener recently retired from a big house (possibly Avington), hence the name.
