About the Pub
A regular entry in the Good Beer Guide, for over 25 years, set within a terrace of 200-year-old houses whose narrow frontage leads to a warm and welcoming family-run hostelry. The pub has seven changing guest beers mainly from Yorkshire. There is always a pump dedicated to a mild or stout/porter and another for a stronger beer at around 5% plus a real cider. Occasionally Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby is available. The pub hosts regular live music and holds two beer festivals a year.
