About the Club
Guest beers including Oakham, Ossett, Salopian, Titanic, Acorn, Abbeydale, Wilde Child, Elland, Nightjar, Eagles Crag.
The Club, which was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century, is one of the oldest Working Men’s Clubs in the country and was originally built as a worker’s cottage for the employees of Midgehole Dye Works. It is CIU affiliated. It is affectionately known as The Blue Pig because of the large number of blue pigs displayed inside and outside the building and is completely staffed by volunteers. It is well-known for its beer festival which takes place in the first weekend in August
Open Bank Holidays and the 1st Tuesday in each month.
