About the Pub

Once a temperance hotel, this pub stands alongside the A672, conveniently near to junction 22 on the M62, with views overlooking Booth Wood reservoir. Known the years as the Derby Inn, the Derby Bar and Exit 22, it appears on Ordnance Survey maps as 'The Derby', having been named after Lord Derby, whose former shooting lodge, Rishworth Lodge, overlooks the pub. Nearby, there's Open Access land with fine moorland walks. Inside, there are three areas for drinking and eating bar meals, the central one of which is non-smoking. To the right is the restaurant, which seats up to eighty people (you're advised to book) and is available for private functions. The pub is also a live music venue.
