NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.
Updates
Now open with rstricted hours and service but with a bigger better beer garden.
Our winter opening hours are as follows:
12-9 pm Friday
12-9 pm Saturday
12-9pm Sunday
(Closed Mondays and Tuesdays)
We have undertaken a comprehensive risk assessment and are now ready to open a COVID-secure pub. We are doing everything we can to try and maintain the Fox and Goose's relaxed style, but there are measures which we must put in place to protect both customers and staff. These include socially-distanced seating (a great opportunity to see the improvements made in the garden) , waiter service, lots of opportunities to use hand sanitiser, contact information for test and trace and limited movement throughout the pub.
This means that when you arrive, you will be asked to wait at the waiting area along the fence on the wide section of the pavement, from where a staff member will escort you to socially-distanced table of your choice, either outside or inside the pub. Your drinks order will be taken and your drinks delivered to you at your table, with payment by card.
Please note at this time, only groups from one household can sit together with a maximum of six people.
We also ask for customers to wear a mask on entry.
For opening on Thursday 13th August tables can be booked on the mobile number between 2 pm and 8 pm on Wednesday 12th August.
You can either turn up as normal, or book a table in advance by calling 07554601587
between 10 am and 5 pm Mon-Tues
alternatively you can call the pub on 01422 648052, 1 hour before opening or during opening times.
Please do not leave messages.
We advise booking a table as there is the possibility we might not be able to fit you in.
