Now re-opened

We have some new changes on how we will be operating to ensure the safety of our team and customers and to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at The Clothiers Arms.
Here’s what we are planning on doing:
Our opening hours are as follows:
Monday - Saturday 11am-10pm
Sunday 12pm-10pm
Monday - Saturday 12pm-2:30pm, 5pm-9pm
Sunday 12-4pm
Menus will be disposable and for single use only
Please help us keep COVID-19 out of the pub.
If you do not feel well, please stay at home and follow NHS guidelines.
A maximum of 2 households to sit at a table inside at any time. Please remember this if you wish to book a table in our restaurant.
The current guidelines allow up to 6 people from any number of households to meet up but outside in the garden ONLY. We cannot accommodate any groups larger than this.
Tables cannot be moved!
We are happy to have families in. However, children must remain seated at the table and stay no later than 8pm.
We are very much a dog friendly pub but you must keep your dog on a lead at all times
We are taking table bookings in our restaurant. We are offering 2 sittings. Please send a message via Facebook or call us on 01453 763801 to reserve a table.
We cannot reserve tables in the bar or garden. !
Please enter through the main bar door only and follow the one way system to exit. You CANNOT enter or exit through the top doors to the restaurant.
A GREEN sign on the table means it is clean and ready for you to sit at. A RED sign means it isn’t clean, so please bear with us. A BLUE sign means the table is reserved but please have a look as you may be able to sit there in the mean time (in the restaurant only)
You cannot go up to the bar.
A member of staff will take your order at the table and bring you your food and drinks. Contactless payment is preferred. However, we do understand that this isn’t always possible.
We will have an app in place as of next week. So those of you with a smartphone, hang fire. We will upload details when this is available.
We need your contact details. We will take one name and telephone number per household and will only hold these details for the mandatory 21 days. We will not use your information for any other reason.
One in, one out of our toilets only. There isn't enough space for social distancing in our toilets, so we have put an extra lock on the outer doors. Please read the signs.
Staff will be regularly cleaning the toilets, surfaces, taps & door handles. Please help us keep our establishment clean by thoroughly washing your hands and using the sanitising stations provided.
Please bear with us during busy times. We are working with a smaller team than normal.
We understand this is a lot to take in but it will all become “normal” soon enough.
We look forward to seeing you back. We have all missed you

About the Pub

Built in 1880 on the site of an 1840 beer house, this handsome stone building offers four regional ale pumps plus Aston Still cider. The spacious interior is comfortable with three large chesterfield armchairs close to the fire. It is a popular pub with families and locals with a separate pool table area and restaurant. The attentive staff keep the level of piped music to an acceptable level. There's an adventure playground for the kids.
