About the Pub

Gabled, mullioned, Cotswold stone hotel superbly situated on the edge of Minchinhampton Common with magnificent views over the Woodchester Valley. Rebuilt in 1926 in Arts and Crafts style, with distinctive door and window ironwork by Alfred Bucknell, Ernest Gimson blacksmith. Two oak-panelled bars with leaded glass, parquet floors and log fires. The lounge is a tranquil haven, the public bar popular with locals, and there is a small snug across the corridor.
