About the Pub
This pub has several rooms, each with its own character. One bar serves the whole pub, with four handpumps offering an ever-changing range of real ales. Themed food nights are popular with steaks on Tuesdays and curries on Wednesdays. Sunday lunches are busy and booking is advised. A new extension to the building in 2015, overlooking the garden, serves as a very comfortable coffee-shop during the day and additional seating for the pub in the evenings. A direct path to/from Pontyclun railway station cuts through a small industrial area. Winner of many awards, including Highly Commended in the Branch CAMRA Pub of the Year 2019. May close early on Sunday evenings if quiet.
