About the Pub
Busy town-centre Wetherspoon, close to Barking Station and many bus routes, popular with locals and passing commuters alike. There are 12 handpumps with a mix of regular and changing beers. Currently there are four or five regulars, which may be on more than one handpump, and up to seven changing beers. The real ciders are 'bag in box' type including Old Rosie and Black Dragon. Food served all day from opening time until 11pm; alcohol from 9am. Muted TV screens show rolling news and occasional sport.

The existing offer of 50p off a pint with a CAMRA Members "Real Ale Discount Scheme" voucher has applied in Wetherspoon pubs (including Lloyds No1 bars) since 2008. However, between 1st July 2019 & 30th June 2020 (depending upon each Member's renewal date) it is being replaced by the new "CAMRA Voucher Scheme" for Members, which has a wider availability in other pubs in addition to Wetherspoon pubs and uses new style vouchers). NB: The old vouchers will remain valid until the expiry date shown on them.
