About the Pub

This is a small, yet perfectly formed, local pub located near the Cathedral car-park and a short stroll from the Cathedral itself. Formerly the Officer's Mess for the local Militia and recentley refurbished to create a separte restaurant area for fine dining. Ten hand-pumps serve up to five guest beers. The other beers are from Greene King including a rare outlet for XX Mild. No music or gaming machines makes this a relaxing pub with pleasant bar room banter. A beautiful walled garden can be found at the back.
