About the Pub

Wetherspoon pub, named after a local physician and writer and created in a cinema dating back to 1935. Many original features have been beautifully restored. The vast single-roomed bar is filled with Art Deco artefacts from a cinema background and has a long bar counter with a good mix of real ales and ciders. Food is served all day and families are welcome until 8pm with children's menu and games provided.

NOTE: Alcoholic drinks are not served until 11am (12.30 Sun).
