Notice: Many venues are affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and need your support more than ever. Please be aware that restrictions apply in many areas so opening hours may be different to those displayed here, and some venues may be yet to re-open at all. Before visiting, we strongly advise you to call or check its website or social media to avoid disappointment.

Venues in Scotland are subject to special restrictions, which vary across the country. In the Central Belt (Including Arran and parts of the Southern Highlands) all pubs and most other licensed premises will be closed but may still be offering takeaway services. In other areas they can open but can only serve food and non-alcoholic drinks inside from 6.00am to 6.00pm. Alcoholic drinks can however be served in outside areas until 10.00pm. These restrictions will be in place until Monday 2 November.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

Sitting across from the harbour in the old fishing village of Newhaven, this is a very friendly locals' pub. It has historical photographs on the walls and sea-charts on the ceiling to tie in with the harbours original association as a Royal Dockyard where the 'Great Michael' was built, the largest warship of its time, in Europe. There is live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Children are not admitted.

NOTE: Return Trays (AKA Autovacs /Beer Economisers) in use.
