About the Pub

Situated between two graveyards, the name Diggers became synonymous with this Edinburgh pub legend, which opened in 1897. Banquette seating lines the walls, and a compass drawing in the floor aids the geographically challenged. Two smaller back rooms have further seating, the larger has a dartboard. Quieter now than in its heyday, though packed when Hearts are at home, it continues to extend a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike. Outstanding pies!

NOTE: Return Trays (AKA Autovacs/Beer Economisers) in use for real ales served by tall fount.
