But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

Popular, small bustling bar/restaurant on the Water of Leith with historical wood-panelled interior and excellent banquette seating. The wooden gantry is supported on barley-twist columns. The two-roomed layout is split between the bar and restaurant and enhanced by high ceilings and spectacularly large mirrors. You may not realise you are looking at yourself rather than a larger bar! The restaurant specialises in seafood and game, with the full menu being available in both rooms. Additional choices feature in the bar, the bar food menu being particularly notable. The real ales, which may occasionally be from other Scottish breweries, are unusual in that they are served by the traditional Scottish tall fount system using air pressure rather than an electric/gas driven pump.
