About the Pub
Small, basic, vibrant drinking shop mostly unaltered since late 19th century. The bar counter nearly fills the small front room but there's more space in the side room. A real taste of New Town past! It is renowned as one of the favourite pubs of Rebus and his creator Ian Rankin, and a haunt of many other famous and infamous characters over the years. The real ales are normally from Scottish breweries. Children are not admitted.
NOTE: Return Trays (AKA Autovacs /Beer Economisers) in use for Deuchars IPA.
