One way system in force with customers are greeted at the door, invited to sign in and briefed on the social distancing rules before being assigned a table to which drinks are delivered. There is a visible level of efficiency displayed by the staff who appeared fully briefed and well organised.

About the Pub

A large pub built in the golden age of Victorian pub design. The high ceiling, cornices, friezes, window arches and screens are spectacular. There is a large standing area around the canopied bar plus extensive seating areas. The diverse range of real ales includes many from Scottish micros. Simple bar snacks are available all day. Children over five are only allowed in the noteworthy upstairs gallery restaurant.
