About the Pub

Tucked between St Mary's Kirk and the Heart of Hawick Heritage Centre in Silver Street, the pub used to overlook the Corn Exchange, hence the name. A previous owner was called Dalton and the name has stuck ever since! It’s a Victorian gem full of knowledgeable locals and the bar has original dark wood panelling and ornate cornice work, plus a comfy back lounge which is used for parties, occasional karaoke and Sunday folk sessions. Children are not admitted.

Runner up in the CAMRA Borders 2019 Real Ale Quality award and third place in CAMRA Borders Pub of the Year 2020 competition.
