Notice: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Under level three of the roadmap in Scotland, pubs can open indoor areas for food and non-alcoholic drinks, while alcohol can only be served in outdoor areas. Many pubs will only be open for customers who have pre-booked.

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

It MAY be open inside to 8pm for groups of up to 6 people from 2 households but without alcoholic drinks.

About the Pub

Single room split-level pub in the heart of Edinburgh’s Georgian New Town. Bare wood floors and subdued decor, along with large mirrors (not brewery/distillery related), combine to give an old pub ambience, enhanced by a sympathetic renovation early in 2020 which helped to accentuate the period features. As the pub is slightly off the well-worn tourist trails, it is mostly frequented by locals.

Note: Patio/garden temporarily closed Feb 2020.
