About the Pub
The building, close to Doncaster Market Place, was formerly the Old Volunteer Working Men’s Club, it was taken over by Chantry Brewery of Rotherham in 2014, and is now named after the iconic Locomotive that was built in Doncaster’s Plant Works in 1923. A mural depicts the loco, and it is celebrated in several photographs on the staircase.
The range of 5 Chantry beers is complemented with one guest ale and 3 ciders.
Free Juke Box on Mondays and Tuesdays, plus free jamming on Fridays and live music on Saturdays, open mic night Sunday from 6pm. Tea and fresh ground coffee always available.
