About the Pub
A town pub with a large open-plan area, There are several TV screens showing sport, with another screen in the smoking area. Live music thu, fri, sat, poker sun, nights. Three changing local beers are served, e.g. Heavy Industry, Cwrw Ial, Brimstage. The pub is close to St Winefride’s Well, a shrine of unbroken pilgrimage since the 12th century, and one of the Seven Wonders of Wales. When local lead mines were still in operation the pub was also the pay office- the safes remain in the bar.
