About the Pub

A tastefully renovated 300 year old village pub with a substantial enclosed beer garden. It has a centrally located single bar with seating areas around it and a central fireplace between the bar and dining areas. There is also a small family area with it's own very large fireplace.

The menu ranges from light snacks to substantial meals in the restaurant including a 3 course Sunday lunch. Four changing ales from the Greene King list.

The pub is home to 2 football teams as well as to the Ickleton Cricket Club. Under previous tenants the pub's 2015 cycle trip via Portsmouth to Paris raised £10k for charity.

New licensees took over in July 2019 and the pub will be closed temporarily for a small refurb.
