About the Pub

RE-OPENED ON 19 MAY 2021 FOLLOWING THE RELAXATION OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS. NO BOOKING REQUIRED - FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.

Small and friendly micro-pub. Initially opened in June 2017 as "Cobbles" and then, following a change of management and refurbishment, re-opened on 29 Nov 2019 as "The Watchmaker." It comprises two small rooms on the ground floor with the room to the front containing the bar. The interior has a cosy, traditional appearance with plenty of timber on display and an old range present in the rear room. The four hand-pulls on the bar serve two regular cask ales plus varying guests, one of which is usually a dark beer. Five keg-taps offer two craft beers, two premium lagers and a cider. An additional seating area is available in the courtyard to the side. This also provides access to the toilets that are in an adjacent part of the building.
