About the Pub

RE-OPENED ON 4th JULY WITH THE RELAXATION OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS. OPENING TIMES TO BE CONFIRMED.

Single-roomed pub with a central bar behind which is the cellar trap door and its vertiginous steps. The building was first a pub, then a bakery, then a pub again. It was part of the local Trough Brewery estate until the brewery's demise. Up to four real ales are offered. At least one real cider is available, often sourced from Westons. Live bands, usually of the rock variety, play on Fridays and Saturdays and often on Sunday evenings and occasionally on other days too. The juke box is free on Mondays and there is a Thursday night quiz. An annual beer festival is held in August and the pub also hosts a "Bike & Trike" show. The garden area is well sheltered.
