NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub
Close to Rugeley Trent Valley railway station, just north of the River Trent, this classic pub re-opened as a free-house in 2007 after a short period of closure, and has flourished ever since.
While much of the pub is set aside for dining, casual drinkers are welcome in the elegant bar (formerly known as the Oak Room).
Lunchtime (including snacks), a la carte, Sunday lunch and children's menus are available.
The bar may close early if minimal custom.
PUB HAS RECENTLY CHANGED HANDS; FULL RE-SURVEY REQUIRED.
Historic Interest
Reportedly built circa 1910 as the Railway Tavern, an inn offering accommodation. At some stage it became known as Wilf & Rosa’s Tavern. It was bought in the 1960s, presumably by a Yorkshireman, when the name was changed to the current one. Recorded as owned by Lord Inns (London & Edinburgh Group) in 2005, but company went into administration in late 2006. Bought privately and re-opened November 2007; ownership changed February 2019.
