About the Pub

A Wadworth Brewery pub since its 1988 rebuild after a campaign to preserve the site as a pub by the local CAMRA branch. Welcoming backstreet community pub. Island bar with cellar beneath. Framed historic photographs hang on the walls of the pub. Popular pub quiz on Thursdays (8.30pm). Occasional live music events.

Father and son team (Kevin & Sam) took over the pub in October 2019. Internal redecoration and the floorboards were sanded / sealed before the pub reopened on 20/10/2019.

Up to eight cask ales including a range of guest ales and one cask cider can be served.

In 2021 a large gazebo will be erected in the outside area which used to include a smokers shelter. Outside bench sets for seating will include some designated as Non Smoking and one near the entrance designated and adapted for a wheelchair user. The side entrance to the pub provides wheelchair access via a ramp.

The pub kitchen has been renewed and Mexican dishes will be served.
