Opening Hours are currently as follows:
Mon-Tues Closed; Wed 12-6pm; Thurs 2-8pm; Fri 2-10.30pm; Sat, 12-10.30pm; Sun 12 -8pm
A one way system is in operation with entrance through the Queen’s Head car park, exit via the garden gate into the council car park. If you have special requirements (e.g. wheelchair access), please ask the member of staff on the entrance.
There is a strict policy on numbers and when the limit is reached nobody else will be permitted to enter.
On arrival your name & telephone number must be given. They will will not be passed on to any third party unless required for Track & Trace.
Table service only. Staff in the garden will take your order and payment, deliver to the table and clear empties. Card payment acceptable but there will be no ‘Tabs’.
Tables in the garden will be appointed for individuals and parties and you will be required to stay at your appointed table. Tables are spaced appropriately and must not be moved. Family groups of six will be the maximum. No moving about the garden unless to use the toilet facilities which will be operating on a strict ‘one in, one out’ basis.
All children are required to stay seated at their table & not run about. There is no exception to this rule for any reason apart from visiting the toilets & this must be with a parent.
All government advice on social distancing must be observed.
If you break these rules, you will firstly be warned & if you persist you will be asked to leave. Your re-entry WILL be refused.
Outside sanitising stations are situated at the gate, & entrance to the garden with sanitisers also available within the toilets.

Greene King

About the Pub

Built by William Randall in 1750 and during its early life was called the Maidenhead. A friendly unspoilt traditional town pub just off the market square, retaining much of its original structure and character. On cold winter evenings there is a roaring log fire in the bar and when the weather is nore pleasant drinkers can enjoy a large garden at the rear of the Pub. Good bus & rail links. Cribbage and darts are popular. Occasional live music events. Free Wi-Fi.
