About the Pub

Built by William Randall in 1750 and during its early life was called the Maidenhead. A friendly unspoilt traditional town pub just off the market square, retaining much of its original structure and character, with a roaring log fire in the public bar for the cold winter evenings. Good bus & rail links. Cribbage and darts are popular, and there is a Petanque court. Saturday enjoy a fry-up and Sunday features a traditional roast. Discount scheme for regular drinkers. Live music events. Free Wi-Fi.
