About the Pub
Established circa 1861, this pub is located close to the railway station and was extensively refurbished in 2018. It has a an L-shaped bar area with several TVs for BT Sports coverage. Live music is featured every Saturday with bands playing in the 'dart board' alcove overlooking the car park. The two 'guest' Real Ales listed are simply examples as they are changed regularly. The pub welcomes a clientele of all ages, mainly from the local area, with some commuters dropping in on their way home. The large beer garden is appreciated by most visitors when the weather is suitable.
