About the Pub

Situated in the bustling centre, not 100 metres from the famous baths, the West Gate is a lively meeting place with the features of a large traditional pub: long, narrow and comfortably furnished and occupying two floors. The pub itself has a long recorded history, thought to date back to 1611. It was recorded as one of Bath's original coaching inns, then known as the Angel. Served alongside its usually interesting beer range are at least five traditional ciders. Cask Marque accredited.
